Inzoi's main issues currently center around a lack of simulation content and awkward social interplay, as per player feedback surveys.
Take a Peek at Inzoi's Gameplay Stats:
Here's the lowdown on Inzoi straight from the horse's mouth, or rather developer Krafton, at their content creator live stream. Director Hyungjun 'Kjun' Kim dished the goods, revealing player preferences, critiques, and most-wanted features. YouTuber Fantayzia was the one who leaked the details, giving us a glimpse into Inzoi's current landscape.
The aspects that really got life simmers going were character customization and graphics, racking up 43% and 22% respectively. Create-a-Zoi is hands down the most appealing feature in Inzoi, boasting a realistic touch that sets it apart from The Sims' more cartoony aesthetic. I gotta say, even a die-hard Sims fan like myself can see why so many are enamored with Inzoi's realism angle.
Coming in third was a notable point: Inzoi has stirred up some competition in the life sim space, earning 15% of votes. For me, this has always been one of Inzoi's biggest wins. Whether I’m feeling it or not, at least it's pushing EA and The Sims to up their game.
Other positives include high praise for Inzoi's build mode, Korean and other Asian-inspired elements, the inclusion of cars and driving, and the open-world maps.
So, what do players not love about Inzoi? Guess what hits the spot the least? Simulation content! 42% of responders couldn’t get with that, and it’s no wonder considering Inzoi's odd interactions, like stilted conversations between spouses about depression and therapy or super stale choices like discussing the stock market.
The game's main drawback is clearly its gameplay, but Krafton seems to be working on that. During the livestream, they revealed that improving gameplay is one of their top priorities.
Other criticisms mentioned were fewer customization choices for men and people of color, questionable conservatism (like every NPC being straight or unable to have children out of wedlock), optimization issues, and a lack of multitasking.
Despite being in early access, the forgiving nature of the player base seems to have softened these blows. Even though I can't overlook certain aspects, knowing there’s a dedication to improve things before a full release keeps Inzoi on my radar.
What Players Want Most:
Surprisingly, even though gameplay is the biggest critique, the top most-requested features have to do with... Customization! That's right, more outfits, accessories, and hairstyles are at the top of players' wish lists. It makes sense that people want more of what they love, but it's a bit surprising to see significantly more folk asking for these over better job interactions.
Simulation-related features do make up a good chunk of the top 40, though: More jobs, having genuine queer NPCs or non-marital children, better driving, more interactions for younger ages, and the ability to cook meals for more than one Zoi at a time. There are plenty of smaller tweaks among the bigger asks too, and most of them align with what I’ve been wanting to see myself. Even if the priorities are a little out of whack compared to my own.

- Inzoi's life simulation aspects, despite being popular in other games like The Sims, are not preferred by a majority of players, with only 58% enjoying them.
- The top requested features for Inzoi, surprisingly, are not improved job interactions but more customization options, such as additional outfits, accessories, and hairstyles.
- Pursuing a lifestyle of gaming isn't just about fighting virtual enemies or mastering complex strategies; it often includes a love for gadgets, smartphones, and the latest technology, as Mollie Taylor's gaming choices demonstrate with her continued interest in older games like Killer Instinct and Audition Online.
- The appeal of Inzoi is not limited to its realistic character customization and graphics; players also appreciate its build mode, Korean and Asian influences, inclusion of cars and driving, and open-world maps.
- Despite the game's current issues with gameplay, stale simulations, and limited customization for men and people of color, the dedication of developers Krafton to improve these areas suggests that Inzoi could become a standout game in the life simulation genre.
