In the world of electric vehicles, two Chinese companies, Dongfeng and Voyah, are making waves with their latest offerings.

Dongfeng has introduced the I-Car, a plug-in electric vehicle that has caught the attention of many. The I-Car boasts a unique design, featuring lights in the wheels, and a range of 60 kilometers. However, it's worth noting that leaving the lights in the wheels on for extended periods might reduce the vehicle's range. The I-Car is significant because it falls under a Chinese tax law that allows for lower taxes for cars under 3 meters in size. Unfortunately, the I-Car is currently only in the concept stage, and there are no plans for production in the near future.

On the other hand, Voyah has made a more tangible move with the launch of their new flagship PHEV SUV, the Taishan. The Taishan, a competitor to the Zeekr 9X, is equipped with a 65 kWh battery. The pre-sale for the Voyah Dream, a vehicle related to the Taishan, has already started at 54,500 USD. No information was provided about the dimensions, size, range, or production status of the Taishan SUV.

In addition, an updated version of the Voyah Courage, a Model Y competitor, has been launched in China for 28,200 USD. This shows Voyah's commitment to offering competitive electric vehicles at various price points.

The automotive industry in China continues to evolve, with companies like Dongfeng and Voyah pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle design and production. The Beijing Auto Show, held in 2010, marked a significant milestone in this evolution, showcasing the potential of Chinese automakers on a global stage. As these companies continue to innovate, we can expect to see more exciting developments in the world of electric vehicles.
