PTZOptics Celebrates a Decade of Innovations and Launches New Features

Paul Richards, a founding member of PTZOptics, has been with the company since its inception ten years ago. This milestone was marked by a special event for the user base, as well as the launch of new product features. One of the most notable additions is the integration of free NDI for Move SE users, a significant development for PTZ camera users.

PTZOptics has made a significant impact in the PTZ camera market, particularly with its innovative dual-lens auto-tracking technology. The SimplTrack3 model, for instance, combines two sensors for both wide-angle overview and detailed zoom, enabling seamless automatic tracking and framing of presenters or groups without an operator. This camera offers advanced auto-tracking up to 55 feet, 20X optical zoom at 1080p60, and a 270° rotation, simplifying high-quality conference, lecture, and stage productions.

Beyond auto-tracking, the SimplTrack3 features advanced zone management. The preset zones automatically trigger custom camera actions, such as switching cameras or activating stage lighting, when the subject enters specific areas, enhancing production automation. The camera also supports multiple outputs (SDI, HDMI, USB, IP) and comes with NewTek NDI® HX3 for IP streaming and control, enabling easy integration into complex video workflows.

PTZOptics' cameras are also future-proofed with the Hive-Linked system, a proprietary technology for centralized, web-based camera management and synchronized multi-camera control. This system is a unique feature of the Studio Series cameras and provides a seamless solution for managing multiple cameras.

PTZOptics offers a variety of models to cater to different production needs. From entry-level Studio SE cameras to advanced 4K versions and unique dual-lens models, the company provides scalable solutions for diverse production demands.

Beyond PTZ cameras, PTZOptics offers box cameras and webcams. The SuperJoy controller from PTZOptics is a versatile, intuitive solution for managing multiple cameras, supporting mix-and-match serial and network-based control for PTZ cameras of any generation.

The company also offers a universal mount design that works with various camera brands, making it a versatile choice for many production environments.

PTZOptics' commitment to innovation extends beyond its cameras. Hive, a unique SaaS solution, combines camera control, switching, and recording into a single platform, providing a streamlined solution for video production.

NDI has become extremely important for PTZ camera users, providing versatility in video workflows by allowing high-quality video streams over a standard network infrastructure. This technology is a testament to PTZOptics' dedication to meeting the evolving needs of its users.

In summary, PTZOptics stands out in the PTZ camera market with its innovative dual-lens auto-tracking technology, robust zoom and output options, advanced automation zones, and seamless networked control with Hive-Linked technology. The company's versatile and user-friendly solutions make it a popular choice for a wide range of production needs.
