Rad spark: NATO's cutting-edge defense hub in Tallinn, Estonia 🔥🔬⚡️
International Defense Accelerator Unveiled in Tallinn by NATO
Get ready to gear up, because NATO's hottest new innovation hub, DIANA, has landed in Tallinn, Estonia! 🤩
Kickin' it off on May, our very own Minister of Defense, Hanno Pevkur, and the legendary mastermind behind DIANA, professor Deeph Chana, sealed the deal with a MoU, officially bringing DIANA's regional hub to Tallinn's vibrant tech scene. 🤝
Among a whopping 1,300 applicants, 44 brave innovators made the cut for DIANA's accelerator program. Nine delightful war-fighter winners were then invited to further refine their brilliant ideas in the bustling tech ecosystem of Estonia. 🌟
As Chana himself declared, "Given Estonia's rockstar status in innovation, DIANA's regional hub is right at home among this bunch!" The hub's mission: to help accelerate and strengthen emerging technology capabilities across 32 innovative networks. 🌐
DIANA's initial crop of tech titans took on the big challenges in energy resilience, undersea sensing, surveillance, and secure information sharing during their January accelerator bootcamp. The lucky victors earned a handsome €100,000 grant, with select superstars receiving an additional €300k for a six-month finish line sprint.Exciting news! DIANA's next set of challenges will be going live in July along with fresh topics covering key technology priorities identified by our pals in NATO. Get your applications in by early August, as they'll scrutinize dozens of criteria before selecting the cream of the crop. Don't forget, companies based in any NATO member country can apply! 🤝✨
