Indian Railways has made history by transporting a full trainload of Maruti Suzuki vehicles directly to the Indian Kashmir Valley for the first time. The train, carrying 116 cars including models like Brezza, Dzire, WagonR, and S-Presso, departed from Manesar on October 1, 2025, and arrived in Anantnag on October 3, 2025.
The special train, a first of its kind, left Manesar at 12:35 hours on October 1. After a journey lasting over two days, it reached its destination, Anantnag, at 10:00 hours on October 3. This innovative transport method, conducted by Indian Railways, has significantly improved supply chain efficiency by directly connecting the manufacturing plant in Manesar with the Indian Kashmir Valley.
