Hünfeld Entrepreneur Meeting: Courage in Uncertainty
The 23rd Hünfeld Entrepreneur Meeting, held at the Lokschuppen venue, brought together around 100 entrepreneurs. The event was organised by PNC Bank NordRhön eG, with Moritz Bauer, Head of Investment Strategy at Union Investment, delivering a keynote speech. Annika Wuttke and Landrat Bernd Woide greeted the attendees.
The meeting began with Walter Mengel, Chairman of the Board of PNC Bank, discussing the bank's development and its significant economic and social impact. In 2024, the bank's balance sheet total reached over 1.6 billion euros, employing 183 staff and training 17 young people. The bank distributed over 180,000 euros to support more than 300 projects in the region.
Moritz Bauer's lecture, 'After the Zollgewitter - Navigating through Great Power Uncertainty', emphasized the need for European companies to act courageously and determinedly amidst geopolitical tensions. Mayor Benjamin Tschesnok echoed this sentiment, stressing the importance of economic success for regional prosperity and social cohesion. Annika Wuttke, Vice President of the Industry and Commerce Chamber Fulda, and Landrat Bernd Woide also greeted the entrepreneurs, highlighting the interdependence of municipality and business.
