The Polestar 5, the Swedish electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer's flagship model, has been unveiled in Los Angeles. This luxury performance EV boasts an array of impressive features, positioning Polestar as a major player in the competitive performance EV market.

At the heart of the Polestar 5 lies a UK-developed bonded aluminium platform, known as the Polestar Performance Architecture (PPA). This lightweight platform promises a robust and agile driving experience.

The Polestar 5 is equipped with a 14.5-inch portrait infotainment system and a 9.5-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) for the driver, ensuring a seamless and immersive in-car experience. The vehicle's interior is Volvo-inspired, offering an uncluttered and sleek design.

Powering the Polestar 5 is an 800V electrical architecture and a 112kWh battery. This new EV powertrain produces up to 872bhp, with the Dual Motor Launch Edition offering 737bhp and accelerating from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, while the Performance Launch Edition delivers 871bhp and can reach 0-62mph in an astonishing 3.2 seconds.
