Hi-Fi Lineup Expanded by Onkyo with the Integration of a CD Player in the Icon Series
Onkyo has announced a new addition to its Icon Series lineup: the C-30 high-performance CD player. This sleek and stylish device offers a premium audio experience at an affordable price point of $349.
Featuring Onkyo’s proprietary Vector Linear Shaping Circuit (VLSC) technology, the C-30 removes pulse noise from the signal path, resulting in clean, distortion-free analog output. It boasts a high signal-to-noise ratio of 107 dB, ensuring quiet backgrounds and detailed audio. A high-precision ±10 parts-per-million (PPM) clock enhances timing accuracy and delivers a stable, focused stereo image.
The C-30 supports standard CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs, as well as MP3 and WMA file playback, making it compatible with a wide range of media. It also offers Hi-Fi-grade RCA stereo analog output, as well as digital optical and coaxial outputs, ensuring compatibility with a variety of premium audio systems.
Physically, the C-30 has a vibration-resistant, blast-finished aluminum front panel designed to reduce resonance for cleaner playback. It is available in silver or black finishes to match other components in Onkyo’s Icon Series lineup, which includes the Icon A-50 2-channel integrated amplifier, Icon P-80 2-channel network pre-amplifier, and Icon M-80 2-channel power amplifier.
