Google's Pixel 11 in 2025: Rumored Tensor G6 Chip and MediaTek M90 Modem

Google's upcoming Pixel 11, slated for autumn 2025, is expected to feature significant upgrades. The device is rumored to sport the Tensor G6 chipset, promising enhanced performance and a more efficient 2nm manufacturing process. Additionally, Google is exploring the use of a MediaTek M90 modem for improved 5G connectivity.

The Tensor G6, codenamed Malibu, was initially planned to use TSMC's N3P process with a 1+6 core configuration. However, recent rumors suggest Google will opt for a 2nm process from TSMC, indicating a focus on power efficiency. Google is currently conducting early internal testing on the MediaTek M90 modem, which was announced at MWC 2025 with peak downlink speeds of 12Gbps and support for satellite connectivity.

If Google decides to use the MediaTek M90, it would mark a continued shift away from Samsung's foundry, following the Pixel's move to Qualcomm modems in recent years.

The Google Pixel 11, expected in autumn 2025, is set to benefit from the Tensor G6 chipset's performance improvements and a more efficient manufacturing process.
