Gaming firm GAMOMAT joins forces with WeForest in creating Environmental Gaming Initiative
Leading slots game developer GAMOMAT has expanded its Gaming for the Climate initiative by integrating the title Alexandria Fire to strengthen its climate action efforts. Launched in 2021, Gaming for the Climate is a passion project aimed at supporting worldwide initiatives addressing the climate crisis.
Alexandria Fire marks the fourth game to join this initiative and will collaborate with the esteemed non-profit organization WeForest. WeForest's focus on combating desertification in Africa, a threat that jeopardizes both the environment and local communities, aligns with GAMOMAT's commitment to environmental sustainability.
A portion of the revenue from Alexandria Fire will be donated to WeForest, aiming to support reforestation and forest protection projects targeting arid afromontane forests. As sea levels rise and Alexandria faces the risk of losing coastal areas, such initiatives become crucial for mitigating the effects of climate change.
Alexandria Fire is part of the successful Fire Respins series and is set in the Mediterranean port city of Alexandria, Egypt. The game invites players to join Isis on a quest to rekindle the Pharos of Alexandria's flame, which once protected the city's seafront.
