Future Pi Network Valuation Evaluation: Possible Attainment of $10?

Pi Network Faces Challenges Aiming for $10 Valuation

Pi Network, the decentralised cryptocurrency, launched its open mainnet on February 20, 2025. However, reaching a $10 valuation remains a significant challenge for the digital currency.

The Pi Network's large circulating supply, currently at 7.4 billion coins by early 2025, mathematically suppresses price appreciation. This oversupply, coupled with weak demand, has caused the token to trade near historic lows around $0.40. Pi has fallen from its all-time high of $2.80, representing an 86% drop.

The imminent unlocking of additional tokens, such as the 160 million releasing in August 2025, increases selling pressure and insider dumps, further weighing on the price.

Pi Network's user base, which exceeds 65 million, causes constant selling pressure due to early users who are tempted to cash in once trading opens up. This rapid selling can drive prices down fast.

To approach a $10 valuation, Pi Network would need to dramatically reduce its circulating supply or significantly increase demand through improved utility, full fiat access, broad exchange listings, and participation that overcomes current technical, supply, and trust barriers.

The project must prove real-world value and utility to spread adoption beyond loyal fans. Critics have raised concerns about the lack of smart contract features in Pi Network, and the mandatory KYC process has raised privacy concerns, with millions of users submitting face scans and IDs.

Despite these challenges, Pi Network operates on a modified Stellar Consensus Protocol and uses a unique referral system, which has been compared to Multi-Level Marketing (MLM). Users build small "Security Circles" with trusted users in the network, and there is no energy-hungry mining or puzzle-solving involved.

As of writing, Pi is trading at $0.41. Without solving the market and adoption issues, a $10 price target remains unlikely in the near term. For Pi to reach $10, people need a reason to hold and spend, not dump. The path for Pi Network to reach this target requires near-perfect timing, market excitement, and sharp execution.

The Pi Network, despite operating on a unique referral system and a modified Stellar Consensus Protocol, faces challenges in reaching a $10 valuation due to its large circulating supply and weak demand. To overcome these issues and approach its price target, Pi Network needs to significantly increase demand through improved utility, full fiat access, broad exchange listings, and addressing technical, supply, and trust barriers. Without solving these market and adoption issues, a $10 price for Pi Network remains unlikely in the near term.
