FreeWire & GM Energy Team Up for Ultrafast EV Charging Revolution

FreeWire Technologies, a trailblazer in ultrafast EV charging, has teamed up with GM Energy to transform charging infrastructure for GM Envolve fleets and commercial customers across the US. The collaboration, slated for early 2024, aims to deliver a seamless energy transition package, pairing GM's electric vehicles with FreeWire's innovative charging solutions.

FreeWire's groundbreaking Boost Chargers, which can be installed swiftly without substantial construction or electrical upgrades, will facilitate the shift from legacy infrastructure to future technology. These chargers are perfect for customers with limited on-site power, facing prolonged construction timelines, or renting properties where they plan to install the charger.

Arcady Sosinov, CEO and founder of FreeWire, commended GM Energy's commitment to driving the national energy transition. 'We're excited to partner with GM Energy,' said Sosinov, 'Their dedication to expanding ultra-fast charging infrastructure aligns perfectly with our mission to accelerate EV adoption.' FreeWire's products are already in use by major companies, customers, fleets, and gas stations across North America and Europe.

Through this collaboration, GM Envolve will offer commercial customers a comprehensive energy transition package, bundling vehicles and charging solutions. FreeWire's network of battery-integrated Boost Chargers will empower GM to provide ultra-fast charging infrastructure nationwide, simplifying the switch to electric vehicles for businesses.
