Fraunhofer IWU Unveils ESiP Analyzer for Streamlined Energy Storage in Manufacturing

The manufacturing sector is grappling with optimizing energy consumption and integrating renewable energies. To tackle these challenges, the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology (Fraunhofer IWU) is presenting ESiP Analyzer at 'The Smarter E Europe' in Munich from 7-9 May 2025. This innovative tool simplifies the design and integration of energy storage in production.

ESiP Analyzer supports companies in potential analysis, planning, and integration of energy storage systems. It considers common energy storage technologies and various integration variants, incorporating Fraunhofer IWU's expertise. The tool aims to reduce power peaks at machine and factory levels and store renewable energies effectively.

ESiP Analyzer simulates various application cases, including peak shaving, recovery of braking energy, and uninterruptible power supply. It enables a technical and economic evaluation of using energy storage systems in factories, balancing load peaks, and enabling demand-oriented use of renewable energies in production.

Fraunhofer IWU's ESiP Analyzer, set to debut at 'The Smarter E Europe', promises to streamline energy storage integration in manufacturing. By assessing technical and economic aspects, it can help factories optimize energy consumption and maximize the use of renewable energies.
