Ford Pro CEO Resigns
Ford Pro's CEO Ted Cannis Retires, Daniel Justo Takes Over
In a significant development for Ford Motor Company, CEO of Ford Pro and the Ford Customer Service Division, Ted Cannis, has announced his retirement effective at the end of September.
Cannis, who joined Ford in 1989, has led the fast-growing Ford Pro unit since its founding in 2021. During his tenure, he oversaw the development of the Mustang Mach-E through Team Edison and steered Ford Pro towards its goal of lowering the total cost of ownership and increasing uptime for customers.
Prior to his role at Ford Pro, Cannis served as the global director of Ford's battery electric vehicles segment from 2017 to 2020. His contributions to Ford's electric vehicle division have been instrumental in the company's foray into the electric vehicle market.
Ford Pro, with its industry-leading service network including dealerships and upfitter partnerships, boasts the widest and most flexible commercial vehicle lineup. The company is on track to become a "true, technology-driven growth business" and is projected to be a Fortune 100-size company in its own right.
During the second quarter, Ford Pro generated $2.6 billion in earnings and amassed 600,000 paid subscribers. Jim Farley, Ford president and CEO, praised Ford Pro, stating that it is tracking towards $70 billion in revenue this year and identifying FCSD as another growth opportunity for the company, citing an estimated $100 billion-plus profit pool for maintenance, repair, parts, and other services outside of the dealer network.
In the interim, Andrew Frick, president of Ford Blue, will lead Ford Pro. Frick's leadership will be temporary, as Daniel Justo, CFO of Ford Blue, has been named VP of FCSD and a company officer, effective October 1. Justo will lead FCSD on a global scale and report to Andrew Frick.
Ford Pro's strategic direction under Justo's leadership remains to be seen, but with the company's impressive growth trajectory and commitment to delivering value to customers, it is poised to continue making waves in the automotive industry.
