Firms Up Cloud Security Solutions for IT Consultants, Led by Qualys

The new suite of packages, built on the Qualys Cloud Platform and featuring Six Sigma accuracy, offers a centralized console for comprehensive security assessment tools. For individual consultants, Qualys Consultant is now available, allowing them to install a scanner on their laptops for on-site vulnerability and PCI compliance assessments. Priced at $2,995 per scanner annually, this package includes unlimited scans, with an optional SAQ module also available.
For security firms, Qualys Consultant Professional has been introduced. Priced at $4,995 per scanner annually in its unlimited scan version, and starting at $1,995 per scanning package for the pay-per-scan option, this package offers a centralized cloud-based console and flexible scanner options. It enables teams of consultants to perform remote or local vulnerability and PCI scanning, scheduling, reporting, and remediation services.
Qualys Consultant's capabilities extend beyond traditional networks, devices, and web applications. It can monitor and scan all of an organization's IT assets, whether they are on-premises, in the cloud, or in mobile endpoints.
The addition of the Qualys Security Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) allows for the automation of third-party risk assessments for all Consultant packages. SAQ simplifies the process of surveying an organization's vendors and other third parties to assess the risk involved in giving them access to physical premises and IT systems and data.
Qualys Consultant also includes the local laptop scanner, providing the same accuracy, cloud-based reporting, and actionable results as the Qualys Cloud Platform. Moreover, Qualys ThreatPROTECT correlates internal vulnerability data with external threat information to help organizations prioritize patching.
