Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Blaze, Save Lives in Kamchatka
Firefighters from a local station swiftly responded to a blaze at a multi-story building on Kavkazskaya Street on January 22, extinguishing the fire within an hour. The quick response prevented any casualties.
The fire alarm was raised at 19:41, alerting the third fire and rescue station. They arrived within five minutes and worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames. The cause of the fire was traced back to a faulty chandelier in a two-room apartment. The fire started from the chandelier and spread to the ceiling and dishwasher, causing significant damage. Unfortunately, a dishwasher was destroyed, and the ceiling covering and room decoration over an area of five square meters were damaged.
In light of this incident, Kamchatka residents are urged to install smoke alarms at home. These devices can detect smoke and emit a loud sound, providing crucial early warning and potentially saving lives.
Thanks to the prompt response of the firefighters, no casualties were reported. However, the fire caused significant damage to the apartment. Kamchatka residents are reminded to ensure their homes are equipped with smoke alarms for added safety.
