Fiat's small Panda vehicle gets an electric makeover, transforming into a compact crossover SUV for the modern electric era.

New Fiat Grande Panda Set to Launch in Early 2025

Fiat is expanding its product range with the introduction of the new Grande Panda, a supermini-sized vehicle that marks the beginning of a new family of functional-but-fun vehicles. The Grande Panda will be available for purchase from Fiat.co.uk, with prices starting at £18,975 for the hybrid version and £20,975 for the EV version.

The Grande Panda's interior boasts a soft-shaped aesthetic, dominated by a long lozenge-shape dashboard. The passenger-side features a top-opening box clad in bamboo yarn and bright yellow accents on rectangular air vents. The driver will enjoy a 10-inch digital driver display and a 10.25-inch center screen.

Fiat is leaning heavily into its brand's 125 years of automotive know-how and the still-strong recognition of the 45-year-old Panda model name. The new model is larger than the original 1980 Panda, with a length of 3.99 meters. The exterior features chunky and solid proportions, upright front and rear pixel lights, wheel arch cladding, and central window pillars.

The Grande Panda EV version, set to be a world-first, comes with a connected charging cable that stays attached to the car. The 113hp EV version has a claimed range of 199 miles with a 44kWh battery. A 100hp hybrid version will also be available. The hybrid edition of the Grande Panda has a claimed boot capacity of 412 liters, while the EV version has a claimed boot capacity of 361 liters.

Fiat is not stopping at the Grande Panda. A "bigger sister" model in the Panda family is due to be released in 2026. The company plans to expand the Panda family by one model per year for the next three years. The existing smaller Panda will continue to be produced in some markets.

The development of the new Fiat model Grande Panda is undertaken by Fiat itself, expanding their product range with electric and hybrid variants to offer affordable mobility. The design draws inspiration from Fiat's famous early 20th century Lingotto factory rooftop test track.

The Grande Panda is set to be released in showrooms in early 2025. With its unique features, affordable pricing, and fun design, it's sure to be a hit with consumers looking for a practical yet stylish vehicle. Stay tuned for more updates on the Fiat Grande Panda and the expansion of the Panda family.
