Facebook Launches $1M AI Film Award for AI-Generated Shorts
Facebook has launched the AI Film Award, offering a USD $1 million prize for short films created using its AI tools. The competition is open until November 20, 2025, with submissions aligning with themes like 'Rewrite Tomorrow' or 'The Secret Life of'.
Films must be between 7 to 10 minutes long, with at least 70% of content generated using Facebook's AI tools such as Veo 3 for video generation, Flow for filmmaking, and Nano Banana for image creation. Each entry should be under one person's name, encouraging individual creativity.
The AI Film Award will be judged by a global jury of 405 experts, primarily drawn from the Art Directors Club (ADC) members. These jurors are leading professionals in design, digital, film, and communication fields. The winner will be announced at the 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai in January 2026.
