Expanding Horizons for Flat6Labs: Announcing the Establishment of F6 Group, Overseeing the Launch of F6 Ventures, the Innovative Venture Capital Division

Newly Formed F6 Group Sharpens Focus on Emerging Markets

F6 Group, a new entity that has emerged from the reorganization of Flat6Labs, is making waves in the venture capital and startup accelerator scene. With a 14-year legacy in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, F6 Group is now integrating venture capital investment and entrepreneurial support under one platform.

The new entity consists of two arms: F6 Ventures, a seed-stage investment firm, and Flat6Labs, a startup accelerator platform. Dina el-Shenoufy and Ramez El-Serafy, co-founders and general partners of F6 Ventures, bring decades of expertise in venture capital and entrepreneurship across the MEA region.

F6 Ventures manages six funds with over $90 million in assets under management (AUM), focusing on seed and early-stage investments across the Middle East and Africa. Their mission is to support founders and startups by providing seed funding and leveraging the group's ecosystem experience to enable faster scaling and growth.

The background of F6 Ventures is rooted in Flat6Labs' extensive experience. The new entity aims to close the funding gap at the pre-seed and seed stages, particularly in emerging ecosystems where early-stage capital is scarce. F6 Ventures is headquartered in Cairo and maintains offices across key hubs, including Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Amman, Tunis, and Nairobi.

Looking forward, F6 Group plans to increase AUM to around $200 million, invest in over 200 startups within the next five years, and launch new regional funds targeting markets in Africa, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the Levant. F6 Group's goal is to bridge the early-stage funding gap by focusing on seed and pre-seed rounds, which are critical for startup survival and growth.

Under the leadership of CEO Yehia Houry, Flat6Labs will continue its mission of supporting founders and ecosystems across the Middle East and Africa. Eyad Albayouk, Ryaan Sharif, Rasha Manna, Walid Triki, and Christine Namara are the regional partners of F6 Ventures, ensuring a strong regional presence and expertise.

In summary, F6 Group's mission is to provide dedicated seed-stage capital paired with deep regional expertise and ecosystem support, aiming to empower founders and drive innovation and economic growth across the Middle East and Africa. It leverages the legacy and operational strengths of Flat6Labs while evolving into a market leader in seed investing in emerging ecosystems.

  1. To further drive innovation and growth in the tech sector, F6 Group, with its focus on seed-stage investments, plans to integrate cloud technology into its portfolio of startups.
  2. As F6 Group expands its reach across emerging markets, it is expected that more startups specializing in cutting-edge cloud technologies will join the group's ecosystem.
