EVA Air & Airbus Team Up to Promote Sustainable Aviation Fuel
EVA Air and Airbus have joined forces to promote Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in airline operations. The partnership aims to reduce carbon emissions and set new standards in long-haul flights.
EVA Air has placed an order for 33 new Airbus aircraft, including 18 long-haul A350-1000s. The A350-1000 is the most environmentally friendly wide-body aircraft in its class, making it an ideal choice for EVA Air's commitment to sustainability.
Both companies have pledged to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Within the next 24 months, they plan to identify pathways for decarbonizing flight operations and creating conditions for wider SAF adoption. The partnership aims to develop a comprehensive plan to decarbonize EVA Air's fleet, with SAF playing a key role in significantly reducing CO2 emissions in aviation.
Through this strategic partnership, EVA Air and Airbus aim to accelerate the transition towards sustainable aviation. The collaboration will not only benefit EVA Air's operations but also contribute to the wider aviation industry's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
