The Esports World Cup (EWC) has joined forces with Amazon Ads for a three-year collaboration, aiming to revolutionise the global esports fan experience. This partnership will utilise Amazon's platforms, including Twitch, Prime Video, Alexa, and Wondery, to deliver an engaging, multimedia, and interactive experience for esports enthusiasts worldwide.

The partnership will focus on expanding the EWC's global reach, with a particular emphasis on key regions such as the United States, Europe, Brazil, Mexico, the Middle East and North Africa, Turkiye, India, and Canada. To achieve this, Amazon will offer immersive fan engagement through multiple digital touchpoints, including livestreams on Twitch, highlights on Prime Video, Alexa updates, and an exclusive online "Hero’s Corner" destination in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

The event will also leverage AWS cloud technology and machine learning to deliver AI-driven live match statistics, player heat maps, live win probabilities, and interactive dashboards, enhancing fan interaction and storytelling during tournaments. These initiatives aim to redefine esports consumption as an always-on, highly social, and deeply interactive entertainment experience.

The Esports World Cup will return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 7 to August 24, 2025. During this period, fans can stream live matches on Twitch, enjoy an original EWC docuseries on Prime Video, receive real-time updates via Alexa, and experience narrative-driven content through the Wondery podcast network.

In addition to the digital offerings, the event will coincide with the Esports World Cup Festival in Riyadh, providing fans with a rich array of experiences, including live music, cosplay, anime cafes, creator studios, retro arcades, and more.

Mike McCabe and Rayan Karaky are involved in the Esports World Cup Foundation. The 2025 EWC will feature 2,000 elite players and 200 clubs from over 100 countries, competing in 25 tournaments across 24 games for a prize pool exceeding $70 million. The partnership aims to transform fan engagement in esports, merging high-stakes competition with captivating digital storytelling and entertainment.
