Enhancing the Office Meeting Ambience and Interaction
In 2017, private equity group and financial firm Further Global commenced its operations with a single office and a rudimentary conference room setup. As the business grew and conferencing needs increased, the company recognized the need for a modern, high-quality conference center and meeting environment that reflected its professionalism.
Mitch Pessin, vice president and co-founder of Solorus Technologies, and Kevin Muller, a director from Further Global's operations team collaborated to design and implement a state-of-the-art AV solution. Solarus Technologies, renowned for its commitment to custom solutions tailored to individual client needs, had been a long-time partner of Yamaha Corporation of America and its Unified Communications division. With the guidance of Susan Rullo, CEO of Rullo Technologies, Pessin and Muller formulated a solution that aligned with Further Global's unique requirements.
Further Global sought an AV system capable of accommodating a variety of conference environments, including corporate meetings, remote conferences, and live events. Emphasizing audio clarity, ease of use, and system flexibility to support multiple conferencing platforms, the Yamaha ADECIA solution stood out as the ideal choice.
Both rooms were upgraded with a Yamaha RM-CR digital signal processor, central to the system's audio distribution and clarity. RM-CG ceiling microphone arrays were installed in each room for optimal audio capture, and Yamaha RM-TT tabletop microphones served as supplemental mics to enhance audio capture, specifically for participants seated further from the ceiling mics. The tabletop microphones also featured accessible MUTE buttons across the table and built-in LED indicators to display the room's mute status during meetings.
In both rooms, the system comprised a control room computer operable from the conference table using a wireless mouse and keyboard, allowing for a BYOD setup for users to leverage ADECIA's full audio capabilities. ADECIA's built-in AI balances and adjusts the audio automatically, ensuring clear pickup of voices at normal conversation volume.
"Audio quality is crucial in the AV world," Pessin underscored. "Even if the video drops during a Zoom call, but the audio remains, you're fine. However, if you lose audio, you're kind of sunk."
Muller affirmed that their team has observed significant improvements in audio quality during live events and remote meetings with the new systems. The setup delivers outstanding audio quality without compromising on usability and adaptability. Its sleek and minimalistic design enhances functionality with automated features for seamless operation with minimal intervention.
The ADECIA system integrates with an AVer PTZ310 4K Ultra HD resolution pan-tilt-zoom camera, allowing for auto voice tracking that follows the presenter and focuses on speakers. The open architecture of ADECIA facilitates smooth communication between its sound system and AVer's cameras over standard protocols.
With these conference room upgrades, Further Global now possesses two spaces that embody their dedication to quality and forward-thinking. The Yamaha ADECIA system delivers crystal-clear audio and adaptability, transforming these spaces into versatile hubs for smooth in-person and virtual collaboration, fostering stronger client relationships and team cohesion.
- Recognizing the need for a modern conferencing environment that mirrors its professionalism, Further Global collaborated with Solorus Technologies and Rullo Technologies to install the Yamaha ADECIA solution in its conference rooms.
- Highlighting the significance of audio clarity in AV systems, Mitch Pessin from Solorus Technologies stated that even if video malfunctions during a call, clear audio ensures continued functionality, whereas unclear audio renders the system useless.
- The conference rooms of Further Global, upgraded with the Yamaha ADECIA system, are now equipped with state-of-the-art audio technology, offering crystal-clear audio quality, easy usability, and the ability to seamlessly support various conferencing platforms, thus transforming them into versatile spaces for in-person and virtual collaboration.
