Enhanced Worship at Church Unlimited: Learn About the Improvements Made
In the heart of Corpus Christi, Church Unlimited has transformed its worship experience with a new sound system from Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW). The church, seeking a modern and engaging audio solution to overcome the limitations of its 20-year-old system, turned to the expertise of integration partner Messenger AVL.
The result is a left-center-right configuration featuring four Anna loudspeakers as mains, four Anya loudspeakers for out fill, and two AC6 column loudspeakers for additional horizontal coverage. This layout, combined with EAW's ADAPTive technology, ensures optimized coverage and intelligibility throughout the entire room, even in difficult seating areas and at the far sides of the space.
Parker Gann, senior systems engineer at Messenger AVL, expressed his team's appreciation for EAW's ADAPTive system, stating that it provided the performance and flexibility needed without compromises. The system's powerful, full-range low frequency, including 12 SBX218 subwoofers, delivers musical, full-range bass that engages the entire room, fulfilling the pastor’s request.
The low-end performance of the Anna and Anya loudspeakers was noted as particularly impressive, delivering rich bass with clarity. The combination of loudspeakers creates a feeling of width and immersion for the congregation, enhancing the overall listening experience and making the sound system feel enveloping rather than localized.
The ADAPTive system delivers significant power and headroom without aggressively driving the loudspeakers, allowing the PA system to “disappear” visually above the trim height of production lighting. Church Unlimited appreciates the clean, unobtrusive aesthetic that EAW’s system provides.
Messenger AVL and EAW worked closely to ensure optimal results from the first system model to the final tuning pass. The installation process was efficient and tightly executed, with close cooperation between the two parties ensuring optimal system performance from initial setup through to final tuning.
Thanks to the ADAPTive platform's scalability and control, the entire process remained within scope while delivering far beyond expectations. The system's intelligibility and balance were maintained even in difficult seating areas, resulting in an extremely engaging experience for every seat in the church.
