Electrobit Displays Developments in Software-Defined Vehicles and Collaborations at IAA Mobility 2025 Conference

At IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, Elektrobit is demonstrating its commitment to advancing automotive software through partnerships that enable smarter, safer, and more sustainable vehicles. The focus of Elektrobit's participation is on facilitating open-source, cloud-native automotive software development across infotainment, safety, and software-defined vehicle (SDV) applications.

Elektrobit's solutions are transforming HMI development by going from Figma UX/UI designs to a running Android Automotive system in seconds, as shown in the Google booth session. This cloud-native, hardware-independent environment enables early-stage design and prototyping, helping teams bring infotainment features and SDV-ready applications to market faster.

Key aspects of Elektrobit's partnerships and demonstrations include:

  • Open-source software and cloud-native development: Elektrobit displays cloud-native, hardware-independent environments to enable faster, scalable development of SDV applications and infotainment features.
  • In-vehicle infotainment (IVI): At the AUMOVIO booth (Hall B1.B01), Elektrobit demonstrates IVI and SDV application solutions that empower OEMs and developers to prototype and develop infotainment software more efficiently and independently from hardware platforms.
  • Safety-critical systems: In collaboration with AWS, Elektrobit highlights EB corbos Linux for Safety Applications, an ASIL B-compliant platform that supports faster prototyping and scalable development of safety-critical systems in vehicles.

Elektrobit's partnerships extend to global technology leaders such as Google, HERE Technologies, and Sonatus. With Google, Elektrobit showcases no-code human–machine interface (HMI) development tools for faster and simpler interface design. The collaboration with HERE focuses on virtual development ecosystems for SDVs, while joint work with Sonatus reinforces Elektrobit’s role in next-generation SDV software.

Elektrobit CEO Maria Anhalt and senior leadership will present these innovations, underlining the company’s commitment to advancing automotive software through partnerships that enable smarter, safer, and more sustainable vehicles.

Other highlights of Elektrobit's participation at IAA Mobility 2025 include:

  • Dr. Siegfried Dirr, Elektrobit's Head of Strategic Business Development, will share details about Elektrobit's strong global ecosystem at the event.
  • Elektrobit speakers Bertolt Schmidt and Sergej Schmunk will demonstrate the use of Google Design Compose for HMI development using a no-code customization approach at the Google booth in Hall B1.B10.
  • Elektrobit is showcasing its software for accelerating next-gen in-vehicle infotainment, navigation, and SDV capabilities at HERE's virtual development ecosystem, located in Hall A1.A11.
  • At the AUMOVIO booth in Hall B1.B01, Elektrobit will reimagine in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) development with IVI and SDV application solutions.

IAA Mobility 2025 is a significant event for the automotive ecosystem and the direction of travel for SDVs, according to Elektrobit CEO Maria Anhalt. Partnerships and collaboration are the catalysts for change in the automotive industry, as stated by Elektrobit CEO Maria Anhalt.
