These values, typical for 400-volt cars, translate to a charge from 20 to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes. A bidirectional 3.6 kW V2L connection lets you charge e-bikes or operate tools, and in the future, the Leaf will feed power back into the grid (V2G).

The Leaf also offers an updated electronics suite and software, including a new wide-angle camera that enables a "see-through bonnet" feature for easier parking. The infotainment system now runs on Android software with Google navigation, and the vehicle's IT can be updated over-the-air.

Pricing: To Be Determined

The new Leaf will sit above the electric crossover Micra and Juke in Nissan's lineup. Competitors such as the Renault Mégane E-Tech, VW ID.3, and Opel Astra Electric range from around 33,000 to just under 40,000 euros for comparable ranges. Expect the price for the 2026 Leaf to be announced closer to its release.
