Dubai's Digital Economy Chamber Concludes International Tour Before North Star 2025 Event
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is set to host Expand North Star 2025, a four-day event scheduled for 12-15 October at Dubai Harbour. Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, the event aims to reinforce Dubai's position as a leading global hub for startups, digital businesses, and tech innovation.
The initiative is part of Dubai's broader economic strategy (Dubai Economic Agenda D33), which seeks to accelerate the transformation into a top-tier digital economy by attracting high-potential digital companies and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
A global marketing campaign was conducted as part of the event's lead-up, with the Dubai Chamber visiting 16 cities across nine countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Portugal, Singapore, the UK, the US, and Vietnam. The campaign connected with over 2,000 digital startups and 215 key ecosystem stakeholders, such as venture capital firms, business incubators, and government representatives. The goal was to highlight Dubai’s supportive business environment and the opportunities available through participating in Expand North Star 2025.
The event itself will provide a venue for startups to connect with investors, partners, and peers from around the world, facilitating knowledge exchange, strategic collaboration, and the establishment of new business relationships. Pitch competitions will be held, with winners receiving fully sponsored opportunities to attend Expand North Star 2025. Outstanding finalists will also qualify for the Supernova Challenge, the largest startup pitch competition in the MENA region.
The campaign emphasised Dubai’s unique business environment, including government support, advanced infrastructure, and comprehensive services for startups, aiming to position the city as a launchpad for international digital companies. The initiative is closely aligned with Dubai’s long-term digital ambitions, seeking not only to grow the local digital economy but also to integrate Dubai more deeply into global tech innovation networks.
Expand North Star 2025 is expected to strengthen Dubai’s appeal to international startups and tech leaders, further solidifying Dubai’s status as a leading digital city.
