The DJI Mini 4K Fly More Bundle, a popular choice for drone enthusiasts, is currently out of stock at DJI, Best Buy, and B&H Photo, with Amazon being the only retailer still offering the combo for $449. This begs the question: will the anticipated DJI drone ban in the U.S. affect the availability of such products?

As it stands, no full ban on DJI drones has occurred yet, but the situation is escalating towards the anticipated ban date of December 23, 2025, as mandated by the Fiscal Year 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The NDAA requires the U.S. National Security Agency to complete a security audit of DJI drones by then. If the audit is not completed or if DJI is deemed a national security threat, DJI drones will automatically be banned from sale and use in the U.S.

The current restrictions on DJI products are evident in the increasing import restrictions and product shortages in the U.S. market. Many DJI products, including the Mini 4K, are already out of stock or blocked from customs due to national security concerns.

The DJI Mini 4K, a beginner-friendly drone model, is part of the Fly More Combo, which includes three batteries, a shoulder bag, charging hub, spare propellers, and other accessories, offering up to 93 minutes of flying time with its three batteries. The combo is currently available with free shipping for Amazon Prime members.

The potential ban on DJI drones is not just a concern for consumers, but also for many industries and public safety agencies that rely heavily on DJI drones. A ban could potentially disrupt these operations, highlighting the importance of the NDAA audit's completion.

However, if the audit is successful and clears DJI, the ban is expected to be averted. For now, the DJI Mini 4K Fly More Combo remains available, providing an opportunity for those interested to secure this drone while supplies last.

Due to the anticipated DJI drone ban in the U.S., TikTok and YouTube videos are showing alternative smart-home devices and gadgets for tech enthusiasts with drone shortages, such as Amazon's Alexa and Google's Home Mini. Moreover, the issue is not limited to avid drone users; it also affects the tech industry with Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo experiencing product shortages, as the DJI Mini 4K Fly More Combo is unavailable elsewhere. In addition, DJI is not the only company experiencing difficulties, as even mainstream products like smartphones and smart speakers are being affected.
