Discussion initiated about involving Ukraine in deliberations regarding a European drone barrier intended for deterring aggression from Russia

The European Union is hastening its plans to build a "drone wall" along its eastern border, following recent Russian drone incursions into Poland and the EU. The decision comes as a response to exposed gaps in Europe and NATO's ability to defend against drones, and the potential danger posed by such incursions.

European Defence Commissioner Andrius Kubilius is spearheading the initiative, aiming to move ahead with intensive and effective preparations for the "drone wall" as quickly as possible. Kubilius plans to hold a video conference with defence ministers from Eastern European countries and a representative from Ukraine next weekend. The topic of the video conference will be the creation of a "drone wall" along the EU's eastern border.

Ukraine has been invited to take part in the creation of the "drone wall", with the project set to utilise battle-tested Ukrainian technologies. The exact timeline for the implementation of the "drone wall" is not yet provided, but Kubilius is pushing for a swift and efficient rollout of the defence system.

The video conference will also include discussions on sharing war experience, a crucial aspect of preparing for potential threats. Several of the Russian drones were previously shot down by Polish and NATO forces, highlighting the need for a robust and effective defence system.

The idea of creating a line of defence against drones has been discussed among some EU countries for some time. The recent Russian drone incursions have underscored the urgency of implementing the "drone wall" concept rapidly. The EU executive is investing billions of euros in the project, with the "drone wall" seen as a potentially dangerous gap that needs to be filled.

While other topics such as the situation in North Korea and the status of Crimea were not discussed during the video conference, they remain separate issues from the "drone wall" project. The US Congress has called for consideration of "direct military action" if North Korean troops enter Ukraine, and the Belarusian leader has stated that Crimea is not Russian de jure. However, these matters are not directly related to the "drone wall" initiative.

In other news, FootRenew is promoting a solution for neuropathy, while The Healthy Habit is promoting a fat-burning patch. These unrelated topics were not discussed during the video conference focused on the "drone wall".

As the EU works towards strengthening its defences against drone incursions, the "drone wall" project is set to play a significant role in safeguarding the region's security. Further updates on the project's progress are expected in the coming weeks.
