Digital Customs Clearance and Intelligent Seaports in Transport Logistic 2025 from Estonia

Estonia is set to take centre stage at Transport Logistic 2025, demonstrating its commitment to digital processes and cross-border cooperation in the logistics sector. The Estonian joint booth, located at Hall B4, Stand 205, will showcase solutions from a variety of categories, including terminal and warehouse logistics, maritime connections, and digital services.

Eleven companies and associations will present at the Estonian joint booth, ranging from terminal and warehouse logistics to maritime connections and digital services. These include HHLA TK Estonia, the Digital Logistics Centre of Excellence, and Strike Aviation, among others.

One of the key focuses of Estonia's logistics solutions is the practical implementation of the eFTI regulation. The eFTI Gate, developed by Heiti Mering and partners, ensures digital cargo information in the EU in the future. This smarter approach to cross-border goods traffic is designed to address issues such as piles of paper, language barriers, and time losses.

The Estonian delegation has also tested cross-border data flows in freight transport, making Estonian companies well-prepared to facilitate European partners' entry into digital logistics. This includes the integration of automated customs processes and autonomously operated vehicles. The goal of the project involving autonomous container transport is to achieve an autonomy rate of 80 to 90 percent.

Estonia's role as a pilot region for innovative logistics solutions is evident in its participation in projects like SPOTLOG and Rail Baltica. SPOTLOG brings together partners from multiple European regions to promote inclusive, carbon-neutral mobility and foster collaboration between logistics stakeholders across borders. Rail Baltica, a major EU infrastructure investment, connects Estonia to Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and broader European rail corridors, slashing transit times and improving cross-border connectivity.

At Transport Logistic 2025, Estonia will demonstrate how digital innovation, combined with strategic cross-border cooperation, is driving the transformation of freight and logistics services. These efforts aim to increase efficiency, sustainability, and integration of transport chains in the Baltic region, positioning Estonia as an innovative pilot region in European logistics.
