In Q2 2025, DigiKey, a leading electronic components and automation products distributor, has significantly expanded its inventory, adding over 32,000 new product introductions (NPIs) and onboarding 127 new suppliers. This move has increased DigiKey's overall portfolio to over 16.5 million products.
The inventory expansion comes at a time of steady customer growth for DigiKey, and the company is optimistic about the market momentum it has seen in the first half of 2025. Customers can now order prototype quantities from DigiKey and have those parts shipped immediately without placing a special order or waiting for lead or transit time.
Notable new supplier additions in Q2 2025 include DeGirum, specializing in AI development and real-time vision processing solutions; Minew, an IoT device manufacturer producing traceability products such as beacons, Bluetooth smart labels, and eco-friendly paper battery tags; NanoFlowX, providing electronic waterproof polymer coating kits using nanotechnology to extend the lifespan of electronic devices; and Shelly USA, manufacturing IoT smart automation products including humidity and temperature monitoring modules, DIN rail mounted relays, dimmers, and smart switches.
The long list of new suppliers added in Q2 also includes undisclosed names.
