DHL Supply Chain Launches Electric eActros 300 for Local Deliveries
DHL Supply Chain has introduced the eActros 300, an electric truck, to its local delivery operations, aiming to reduce carbon emissions in road freight transport. The company has installed fast chargers at sites in Hagen and Koblenz to support this initiative.
The eActros 300 is designed for regional distribution transport, capable of performing various conventional truck operations. It is powered by two electric engines, delivering a peak output of up to 400 kW. The trucks have a range of approximately 220km, making them suitable for local delivery routes.
The eActros 300 can recharge from 20% to 80% in about one hour and 15 minutes at a charging capacity of up to 160kW. This quick charging capability ensures minimal downtime for the vehicles.
DHL Supply Chain's deployment of the eActros 300 is a significant step towards carbon-free local road freight transport. The trucks' range and charging capabilities make them well-suited for urban delivery operations. The company's investment in fast chargers at key sites further supports this sustainable initiative.
