DEWA & Parkin Boost Dubai's EV Charging Infrastructure with 100 New Stations
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Parkin Company have joined forces to boost the city's electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. The strategic agreement, signed at the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), aims to enhance customer experience and strengthen Dubai's green transport leadership.
The first phase of the project will see 100 new EV chargers installed at key locations across Dubai. These will be placed in residential communities, shopping malls, leisure destinations, and public areas, providing convenient charging options for EV users. DEWA currently operates over 1,500 public charging points, with more than 19,000 registered users of its EV Green Charger network as of August 2025.
Parkin will manage service delivery via its smart app, ensuring seamless user experience. DEWA will oversee the operation and performance of the chargers, maintaining high standards. The initiative aligns with the Dubai Green Mobility Strategy 2030, promoting sustainable transport, reducing carbon emissions, and improving air quality.
The expansion of Dubai's public EV charging network, led by DEWA and Parkin, is set to enhance the overall customer experience. With the first phase installing 100 new chargers at strategic locations, the city continues its journey towards becoming a global leader in green transport.
