Developers introduced to Ask Apple, a new initiative by Apple

Apple has recently launched a new series of interactive Q&As and one-on-ones called Ask Apple, aimed at helping developers create and distribute compelling apps that take advantage of the latest technology and design.

Jordi Bruin, an iOS developer from Amsterdam, is one of the many developers who have benefited from this initiative. Through conversations with Apple experts, Bruin has been able to refine his app, Posture Pal, which helps users maintain good posture. Bruin spoke to a technology evangelist and a designer at Apple, who provided him with valuable feedback on the parameters, possibilities, advanced features, use cases, and onboarding experience of Posture Pal.

Ondine Bullot, the CEO of Better Kids and the founder of educational app Wisdom: The World of Emotions, is another developer who has participated in Apple's Engagement Series. This series includes Tech Talks, Meet with App Store Experists, and WWDC's digital lounge discussions. The developers involved in these events are Apple employees and experts specializing in various Apple product areas such as wearables, user interfaces, cameras, and audio technology.

Ask Apple builds on successful programs like Tech Talks and Meet with App Store Experists. Developers can connect with Apple experts through Q&As on Slack or in one-on-one office hours. These office hours will be hosted in time zones around the world and in multiple languages, making it accessible for developers worldwide.

The App Store is the world's safest and most vibrant app marketplace, currently home to 1.8 million apps and visited by more than half a billion people each week across 175 regions. Developers can ask questions about testing, implementing new frameworks, adopting new features, preparing apps for new OS and hardware releases, and more. Q&As allow developers to share learnings, engage with other developers around the world, and get their questions answered.

Current members of the Apple Developer Program and the Apple Developer Enterprise Program can register for Ask Apple. Information on the schedule for Ask Apple can be found by visiting developer.apple.com/events/ask-apple. The first round of opportunities will be available from October 17-21.

In addition, a new feature being developed for Wisdom: The World of Emotions is integrating Siri to guide children through calming strategies. This educational app teaches young children social and emotional skills through games and augmented reality (AR).

Ask Apple is free and open to all members of the Apple Developer Program and the Apple Developer Enterprise Program. With hundreds of hours of sessions available on demand on the Apple Developer website and in the Apple Developer app, developers have a wealth of resources at their fingertips to help them create their next great app.
