Dentons Advises Acuity on Acquisition of Leading European AI Provider Ascent
In a significant move, global law firm Dentons has been appointed to advise Acuity Knowledge Partners on its acquisition of Ascent, a leading European provider of AI-powered digital transformation services. The merger is expected to close in the second half of 2025, with the acquisition set to close on 30 September 2025.
Neil Nicholson, UK Corporate Partner at Dentons, expressed his pleasure in supporting Acuity on this important and complex deal. Nicholson led the Dentons team, which included several key partners and associates.
From the UK, Elouisa Crichton served as the Employment partner, Stuart Fitzsimmons as the Banking partner, and Rachael Del Riccio as the Corporate partner. Alex Macdonald, Marina Aspinall, and Katie Percy were Corporate associates, while Guy Vouha and Laura Brennen served as Tax associates. Alex Celik was the Corporate paralegal, and Jen Cameron was a Banking trainee on the Dentons team advising Acuity.
Additional support was provided from Germany by Volker Junghanns, Celine Brunnett (a Corporate senior associate), and Lorna McCaa (Tax partner). Victoria Albon served as an Employment senior associate, and Pamela Gilmour was the Banking counsel.
Adrian Wright, Managing Director and Head of Corporate Development at Acuity, praised the technical knowledge and practical guidance provided by Dentons during the transaction. He noted that the acquisition will enhance Acuity's offering of technology and AI-driven services and solutions, significantly expanding its Data and Technology Services (DTS) division.
Ascent operates with 550 data, software, and cloud specialists across seven European jurisdictions and supports over 170 clients globally. As a leading European provider of AI-powered digital transformation services, the acquisition is expected to bolster Acuity's position in the market.
