Data strategy to be spearheaded by Annalect Global CEO, Slavi Samardzija, at Stagwell following his transition from his previous role.

Stagwell, a leading marketing firm, is bolstering its position in marketing technology and artificial intelligence (AI) with the appointment of several tech veterans. Among the new hires are John Kahan, Mansoor Basha, and Elspeth Rollert, who join the company with extensive experience in data and technology, and Slavi Samardzija, who will lead Stagwell's data and technology strategy team.

John Kahan, a data and technology veteran with 25 years of experience, has been appointed as the first Chief AI Officer by Stagwell. He will work alongside a team of executives from companies like IBM, Accenture, and Uber to build out Stagwell's tech and AI capabilities. Prior to his role at Stagwell, Kahan worked at Microsoft and IBM.

Slavi Samardzija, on the other hand, will start working this fall. He brings 25 years of experience in data and technology, including 11 years at Omnicom’s Annalect where he served as global CEO for nine years. At Annalect, he oversaw the development of Omni, an AI-powered marketing orchestration platform. Samardzija's role at Stagwell will involve working on the company's forward-looking data strategy, with a focus on advancing its marketing technology and AI capabilities. The title for his position will be announced later this year.

Mansoor Basha, another tech expert, has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer of Stagwell Marketing Cloud. Basha previously worked at Accenture, where he gained valuable experience in driving business growth through technology. His role at Stagwell will be to drive more business through Stagwell's platforms like Stagwell Marketing Cloud and The Machine.

Elspeth Rollert is now leading Stagwell Marketing Cloud as its CEO. She joins Stagwell from the tech world, where she has built platforms and teams to support Fortune 500 marketers. Rollert's appointment further underlines Stagwell's commitment to innovation and growth in the marketing technology sector.

These moves align with Stagwell’s strategy to accelerate revenue growth through technological innovation and AI-enhanced marketing solutions. By hiring senior talent with tech expertise, Stagwell is demonstrating a strong strategic commitment to innovation in this space.
