Clarkston Consulting Streamlines Retail Giant's Operations with Airtable
Clarkston Consulting has helped a major retailer, operating across the U.S. and Canada in retail, convenience, and food and beverage sectors, to streamline operations. They've done this by creating a centralized calendar using Airtable, a cloud-based data management tool.
Initially, Clarkston noticed a lack of a single source of information between centralized planning teams and distributed field operators. To address this, they designed and developed Airtable processes for the client's commercial and operations teams, transitioning them from spreadsheet tools into Airtable.
Airtable was chosen for its ability to consolidate information from independent sources and transform data into user-friendly visualizations. The centralized data from Airtable was then used to create a calendar for field operators, providing a single source of truth. This calendar now consolidates the schedules of 10 planning teams. The Airtable infrastructure of the calendar serves as a template for the client to further integrate teams and communicate across the organization.
Clarkston's use of Airtable has enabled the client to integrate independent lines of business through internal initiatives. By centralizing schedules and providing a single source of truth, Clarkston has improved communication and coordination among the client's teams, paving the way for further integration and improved operations.
