DPD UK, with over 10,000 delivery vans, has made significant strides towards net zero by 2040. The company now operates 3,600 electric vehicles and plans to add another 400 by 2024. Evri, the UK's largest parcel delivery company, is also committed to net zero emissions by 2035.
Transport for London is working to decarbonise its fleet of 9,000 red buses, aiming for a fully zero-emission fleet by 2034, with aspirations to accelerate this to 2030. John Lewis Partnership is committed to net zero carbon by 2035, eliminating fossil fuels by 2030, and transitioning heavy trucks to biomethane by 2028.
The CiTTi Awards 2024 will recognise these companies' efforts in reducing emissions and promoting sustainability. The finalists' innovative use of alternative fuels highlights the progress being made in the transport industry towards a greener future.
