La Croix Church has transformed its sanctuary acoustics with the installation of a d&b audiotechnik Soundscape system. The aging sound system previously resulted in uneven sound coverage, poor speech intelligibility, and a lack of congregational participation during worship.
The Soundscape system, installed by Panavid, features En-Scene, En-Space, and A-Series augmented arrays. The A-Series loudspeakers, chosen for their ability to fly horizontally, smaller size, and comparable output levels, now grace the front stage of the church.
The three-cabinet center cluster at La Croix Church was hung from a single fly point, where the previous setup required three. This reduction in hardware not only simplified the installation process but also improved the aesthetics of the sanctuary.
The ArrayCalc software was instrumental in ensuring a smooth deployment, as it provided accurate predictions of coverage patterns and frequency responses. This precision allowed for a seamless transition from the old system to the new.
