Chevron Phillips Chemical secures a supply agreement with NanoXplore for their products.
Chevron Phillips Chemical and NanoXplore Partner for Innovative Lubricant Technology
Chevron Phillips Chemical, one of the world's top producers of olefins and polyolefins, has entered into a significant partnership with NanoXplore, a graphene company specialising in high-volume graphene powder and graphene-enhanced products.
Headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, Chevron Phillips Chemical, owned nearly equally by Chevron U.S.A., Inc., and Phillips 66 Company, boasts an impressive asset portfolio valued at approximately $20 billion. The company employs around 5,000 individuals across its 31 manufacturing and research facilities in five countries.
The agreement with NanoXplore underscores Chevron Phillips Chemical's commitment to delivering innovative and cost-efficient solutions. Starting in October, NanoXplore will supply a proprietary carbon product, TribografTM, to Chevron Phillips Chemical under a multi-year agreement.
TribografTM, developed and tested with Chevron Phillips Chemical, is a lubricant used in oil and gas drilling fluids, trademarked as NanoSlideTM. NanoSlideTM has received positive customer feedback and production orders are underway. The product has been successfully used in challenging geological formations like tight oil reservoirs, low permeability, low porosity, and on extended reach laterals.
Rocco Marinaccio, chief operating officer at NanoXplore, expressed pride in achieving this significant milestone for the company. He stated, "This partnership with Chevron Phillips Chemical reflects our focus on driving innovation and enhancing product efficiency."
Jay Bickett, senior vice president at Chevron Phillips Chemical, echoed Marinaccio's sentiments, stating, "The agreement reflects our focus on driving innovation and enhancing product efficiency."
