Beware of Migros and Mobiliar Phishing Scams

Beware of fraudulent SMS messages claiming to be from Migros and Mobiliar. Cybercriminals are exploiting these brands to trick unsuspecting victims into revealing sensitive data and making money transfers.

Phishing SMS messages, supposedly from Migros, are currently circulating. They lure recipients with offers of redeeming expiring Cumulus points. Victims are instructed to respond with 'Y' and follow a link to a fake Migros website. Here, they are prompted to log in using their gmail or yahoo mail address, allowing criminals to collect sensitive data.

Similarly, fake emails in the name of Mobiliar are being used to offer 'exclusive gifts' to loyal customers. These emails contain suspicious links leading to fraudulent sites. Cybercrimepolice.ch warns of these scams and advises never to follow suspicious links or disclose data if you receive such messages. Always delete, ignore, or forward them to Cybercrimepolice.ch.

Phishing attempts using Migros and Mobiliar's names are ongoing. Victims are enticed with prize offers to collect sensitive data and make further money transfers. Stay vigilant, do not respond to suspicious SMS or emails, and report them to Cybercrimepolice.ch. Organized crime groups are suspected, as similar phishing attacks have been linked to arrested cybercriminal gangs in 2024 and 2025.
