Apple's iOS 26 Beta Reveals Live Translation, Wi-Fi Syncing
Apple has quietly rolled out the second developer beta of iOS 26, introducing several unannounced features. The new operating system is expected to hit the public market in September, alongside the iPhone 17 series.
Among the hidden gems in iOS 26 are live translation via AirPods and public Wi-Fi login syncing across Apple devices. Tech reporter Mark Gurman, known for his reliable insider information, hints at these developments in his Bloomberg column.
Live translation will enable real-time multilingual conversations, with audio translated directly into the user's ears. Wi-Fi syncing, on the other hand, will allow users to sign in once on one device to grant access to all Apple devices on the same network. These features are expected to debut with iOS 26.1 or iOS 26.2.
Apple is taking a more cautious approach to revealing features that are not yet ready for release. However, these upcoming enhancements in iOS 26, including live translation via AirPods and Wi-Fi syncing, promise to improve user experience and convenience.
