Apple reveals MacBook Pro equipped with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, promising enhanced gaming performance and record-breaking battery life in a Mac notebook computer.

The tech giant Apple has announced the launch of its latest MacBook Pro models, equipped with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. These new devices promise a significant performance boost for creative professionals, with improvements in areas such as effects rendering, color grading, and image processing.

Starting today, January 17, the new MacBook Pro models are available for order, and they will begin arriving to customers and be in stores starting January 24. The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro starts at $1,999 (US) and the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro starts at $2,499 (US). For education customers, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro starts at $1,849 (US), and the 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro starts at $2,299 (US).

The new MacBook Pro models with M2 Pro and M2 Max are also making their way to additional countries starting February 3. These include Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, New Zealand, Singapore, and several European countries, such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the USA.

The new 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Max takes performance to the next level, offering up to 30 percent greater graphics performance over M1 Max. It also boasts up to 96GB of unified memory, twice the unified memory bandwidth of the M2 Pro, at 400GB/s. This translates to faster effects rendering in Cinema 4D, color grading in DaVinci Resolve, and image processing in Adobe Photoshop. Effects rendering in Cinema 4D is up to 30 percent faster with M2 Max on MacBook Pro than with the previous generation. Color grading in DaVinci Resolve is also up to 30 percent faster, while image processing in Adobe Photoshop is up to 80 percent faster.

Apple has designed the new MacBook Pro models to minimize their impact on the environment. The enclosure is made from 100 percent recycled aluminum. Additionally, with Apple Trade In, customers can trade in their current computer and get credit toward a new Mac.
