AMD Radeon RX 9060 Spotted: New Budget Gaming GPU Could Outperform Nvidia

AMD's Radeon RX 9060 has been spotted in benchmarks, hinting at a potential new budget gaming GPU. While its availability for DIY PC builders is uncertain, early tests suggest it could outperform Nvidia's offerings, including the RTX 5050 and RTX 5060.

The RX 9060 packs a punch with 28 compute units, 1,792 shaders, 8GB VRAM, and a 128-bit bus clocked at up to 18Gbps. It has shown a 19% performance lead over the RTX 5050 and nearly matches the RTX 5060 in 1080p gaming at max settings. This positions the RX 9060 as a significant upgrade in the budget gaming GPU market.

Pricing is expected to be competitive, with the non-XT variant likely below 270 euros, or under $250. Currently, the RX 9060 non-XT is only available in prebuilt gaming PCs due to limited production volume. If it remains an OEM-only card, it could make budget gaming PCs more affordable. However, AMD has not officially disclosed the retail price yet.

The AMD Radeon RX 9060, with its impressive performance and potential low price point, could shake up the budget gaming GPU market. Its availability for DIY PC builders is still uncertain, but if widely available, it could offer a compelling alternative to Nvidia's offerings.
