Affordable Electric Mobility: Citroën Introduces Lower-Priced E-C3

Citroën has made electric mobility more accessible with the launch of a new, lower-priced base model for its compact electric vehicle, the E-C3. Starting at €19,990, the new variant aims to attract a wider audience and make electric vehicles more financially viable.

The new base model is part of Citroën's electric mobility line and is available in France, with the smaller E-C3 offered in the 'You' and 'Plus' trim levels. Unfortunately, it's not yet available in the German configurator.

The smaller battery in the new variant limits the range to a maximum of 206 kilometers, according to WLTP standards. However, the 'Plus' variant in France boasts a range of up to 212 kilometers. The 83 kW (113 PS) and 124 Nm strong electric motor at the front axle remains unchanged in the new variant.

Interestingly, Citroën itself is the seller of this more affordable E-C3 model, as part of their expanded ë-C3 lineup introduced in September 2025. This model offers a maximum WLTP range of approximately 200 kilometers.

The new base model represents a significant step forward in making electric vehicles more affordable. Previously, the E-C3 started at prices from €23,300. The new, cheaper E-C3 with the smaller battery is also available as the E-C3 Van for commercial customers, priced at €19,490 (including taxes).

This move by Citroën is a testament to their commitment to making electric mobility more accessible for all. With the new, lower-priced base model, more people can now consider the benefits of electric vehicles without the concern of high costs.
