Get ready for the ASRock A620AI WiFi, the latest addition to the mini-ITX motherboard family that caters to budget-conscious consumers! This fresh offering, powered by the A620 chipset, supports a wide range of upcoming processors, including the Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000G, Ryzen 9000, and even the Ryzen 9000X3D variants.
While ASRock had already released the A620I Lightning WiFi, the A620AI WiFi stands out as a more affordable alternative. This cost-effective version is packed with an eight-layer PCB and an 8+2+1-phase power delivery subsystem, capable of handling various Ryzen processors - from entry-level to flagship models.
Although mini-ITX boards have their limitations in comparison to ATX boards, the A620AI WiFi provides essential features. It boasts two DDR5 memory slots, offering support for ECC and non-ECC memory modules beyond DDR5-8200, with a maximum capacity of 128GB. For expansion, it sports a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for graphics cards, along with two M.2 slots, one PCIe 4.0 x4 and the other PCIe 3.0 x4. Additionally, it offers two SATA III connectors, supporting RAID arrays.
For internet connectivity, you can opt for a wired or wireless connection. The board features a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port and a standard Gigabit Ethernet port, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. When it comes to USB ports, the A620AI WiFi offers versatility with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, and two USB 2.0 ports. If you're not using a discrete graphics card, you'll find a single HDMI 2.1 port providing 4K (3840 x 2160) output at 120 Hz. As for audio, you get three 3.5mm jacks for 7.1-channel support, connected to a Realtek ALC897 codec.
Pricing and availability for the ASRock A620AI WiFi motherboard haven't been revealed yet. Based on the price of the A620I Lightning WiFi, we can expect the A620AI WiFi to launch at a lower price point.
