Infinix Unveils the GT 30 Pro: A Powerful Mid-Range Gaming Phone
Infinix has announced the launch of its latest offering, the GT 30 Pro, a gaming phone designed to deliver a flagship-level experience at an accessible price point. The device is set to debut in India, targeting a $300 price bracket.
The GT 30 Pro boasts a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch sampling rate, providing smooth and responsive visuals ideal for gaming. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Octa-Core processor, coupled with Mali G615 MC6 GPU, ensuring smooth high-frame-rate gaming.
The GT 30 Pro comes with 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB UFS 4.0 internal storage, with no expandable slot. It runs on Android 15 with XOS 15 skin.
Key gaming features include physical shoulder triggers for gaming controls, a cooling system with RGB lighting, and the XArena hub to organise games and monitor performance. The device supports 5G connectivity.
In terms of photography, the GT 30 Pro features a dual rear camera with 4K @ 60fps video recording, and a 13 MP front camera with screen flash and 4K @ 30fps video. It has an in-screen fingerprint sensor and multiple sensors such as proximity, gyroscope, and compass.
For power, the GT 30 Pro has a 5500 mAh battery supporting 45W wired fast charging, magnetic charging, and reverse magnetic charging. It includes Bypass Charging technology to better manage temperature during intense gaming sessions.
The GT 30 Pro's design takes inspiration from futuristic machines and modular aesthetics, featuring a "cyber-mecha" design aesthetic that sets it apart from previous models. It includes a custom pattern at the back and vibrant lighting.
The GT 30 Pro also benefits from Infinix's 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber (3D VCC) liquid cooling tech for efficient thermal management. The device comes with two accessories: the MagCase and MagCharge Cooler, with the latter being an active cooling solution.
Infinix is looking to build an ecosystem of gaming devices under the "GT Verse" umbrella, including the GT Buds 4, GT Power bank, and a dedicated cooling accessory. The company chose MediaTek's Dimensity 8350 for the GT 30 Pro, citing the chip's ideal mix of high frame rate gaming and thermal management.
