Advantech, a global leader in industrial automation and IoT solutions, has unveiled the AMAX IoT Control Platform, a unified, software-defined solution designed for precision automation with deterministic real-time performance.

The AMAX IoT Control Platform combines Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and Internet of Things (IoT) functions into a single platform, addressing issues of fragmented setups and performance bottlenecks found in traditional systems with separate PLCs, HMIs, and communication modules.

Key features of the AMAX IoT Control Platform include a unified control architecture, deterministic real-time performance, a flexible software environment, and a scalable controller portfolio. The platform's unified architecture simplifies vision-integrated manufacturing systems, while its real-time performance supports applications such as semiconductor manufacturing, high-speed assembly, and vision-integrated production systems.

The AMAX IoT Control Platform is built on the CODESYS framework, supporting both Windows and Linux runtime environments. It offers three main controller categories optimized for different industrial needs: Panel Controllers (AMAX-PT series), Industrial PC Controllers (AMAX-7 series), and Embedded Controllers (AMAX-5 series).
